Some companies may choose to use UPE to reduce mouse feet cost. The slickness of it is fairly comparable to PTFE but at a fraction of the price, almost 1/8 or a 1/10 of the price at times. However, there are substitute companies that use a material called UHMWPE, otherwise known as UPE. In general, mouse feet is made using a material called PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), or otherwise known as teflon. Corepad / Hyperglide / Steelseries DOT / Chinese companies such as Rantopad, but I’ll just be comparing what I have on hand. I’ll mainly be making comparisons between the mouse feet from Tiger Gaming / Hotline Games / Razer. Admittedly, there are other mouse feet companies out there, ie.
The review will be split into the following sections: 1) Teflon Quality 2) Cutting Precision 3) Packaging 4) Conclusion Teflon Quality If you don’t like to read – here’s a YouTube video of quick comparisons of the feet – If you’re interested in purchasing Tiger Gaming Feet – you can visit my eBay store As to whether or not theres the less smooth UPE mixed in with the production, one can only rely on the companies’ word, but here are my up-close comparisons. Effectively if they’re PTFE, they should be the same thing although there may be differences in the manufacturing process. As I’m situated in Hong Kong, ordering PureTrack or Corepad mousefeet is fairly expensive for me and well not worth it. Indeed, it was nothing but bliss and provided for interesting comparisons to Hotline Games, a relatively more established mouse feet brand in China. Recently I got ahold of some stock and was able to make close comparisons of their product. Evidently Razer marks up their “official” “Gaming grade” teflon by an insane amount, charging $9.99 for a pack of 2 sets, Tiger Gaming charges considerably less for essentially the same thing to consumers. Presumably, Razer only “makes” mouse feet for their own line of mice, Tiger Gaming is currently using the same tools to make mouse feet for Razer / Other gaming mice as well. Somewhere down the line, I assume Tiger Gaming reached an agreement with Razer, allowing them to use the same equipment and technology to manufacture their own line of mouse feet. Tiger Gaming in itself is a brand of only couple months old. Furthermore, they are the original manufacturers for Razer mouse feet and their replacement mouse feet. To my knowledge, Tiger Gaming is their “gaming” line of products, but they also manufacture teflon material for other uses. They are new brand in China making “gaming” peripherals, but with pre-established network in China. I came in contact with a representative of theirs and was surprised to learn of what they had to offer. I’ve never heard of them before and most people would not have. Recently, I came across a gem of a company called Tiger Gaming. Tiger Gaming Mouse Feet (Razer OEM Quality) vs Hotline Games
